How Do we Manage Our Pigs?
Our KuneKune pigs are raised in a large pasture-based pen where they can graze on grass throughout the summer. During the winter months, they are fed hay and soy hulls. We do not use dewormers or vaccines in our pig program.

Boars are turned in with the sows around mid-January, with a main farrowing season in May. All sows farrow naturally on pasture without assistance and nurse their piglets for approximately two months.

KuneKune pork is, hands down, the best pork you’ll ever eat and has become my favorite protein source. Beyond the meat, KuneKunes are known for their gentle, friendly temperament—they act more like puppy dogs than pigs. They love attention, belly rubs, and their favorite treat of all… peanut butter.
